Divas at "The Great Minnesota Get-Together"

In 2024, the Breast Cancer Education Association offered the Dragon Divas an opportunity to share a booth at the State Fair Kare 11 Health Fair Building! We the Divas have enjoyed an ongoing relationship with the BCEA offering a resource table at the BCEA annual conference for the last 5 years. This was our first time as presenters at the MN State Fair!

We were at the fair the first 3 days, August 22-24, sharing a booth with Jack’s Caregiver Coalition.

With the help of many Dragon Divas, we filled 3 four-hour shifts per day, with 2 Divas on each shift. As part of our mission to raise awareness in the community of the importance of physical fitness and exercise in fighting breast cancer, we handed out brochures, exercise information, and business cards. We also had sunscreen packets and pencils with our logo and website to share.

The most rewarding part of being at the Fair was listening to peoples’ stories and sharing information about the Dragon Divas. Each one of the Divas has a little different story which makes our organization so rich!

Our 3 days at the State Fair were filled with laughter, tears, sharing and richness. It was a very rewarding experience.
